Audition Information
The audition is your first real step in the rush process. It's a chance for the group to get an idea of how your voice sounds before we start getting to know as a person you on your rush meals. We'll start off with some warm-ups to test your range and hear your tone. Then you'll perform a prepared solo of your choice. It can be from whatever genre you like, as long as you feel comfortable with it.

Part of Mixed Company's audition includes learning one of the parts of "How the Scenery Changes," and singing it with a quartet from the group. The song is an original composition by an alum of the group, Brian Kim ('04+1), and a staple of our repertoire. Sheet music and vocal tracks are posted here on this website for you to learn from. Each part is recorded individually to help you learn it, and there is a full-group track to give you an idea of what the song sounds like with all four parts.
